Welcome!
Crowsfoot is located in the small farming town of Conestogo, Ontario and stands on what is known to be one of the oldest venue sites in the region. Settled by Mennonites and German immigrants in the 1820s, the site has had a continued tradition of serving great food in a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere.
Building on this storied heritage with its own on-site General Store, Crowsfoot will be stocked with locally sourced products, produce and everyday essentials. Crowsfoot Smokehaus will also look to support the farmers in our surrounding region by offering a menu that combines the community’s rich culture with classic Southern-style smokehouse barbecue.

Crowsfoot Announces Closure of General Store
CONESTOGO, ON — The team behind the Crowsfoot General Store has announced that the beloved community store will officially close its doors on July 1st.
For years, Crowsfoot General Store has served as a gathering place, offering locals and visitors a unique blend of heritage, community spirit, and carefully curated goods. The decision to close the store marks the end of an incredible era but also opens the door to a fresh vision for the historic landmark.
"We are immensely grateful to the Conestogo community and the surrounding region for embracing the general store so warmly over the years," said Sarah McCabe, General Manager "Every conversation, every visit, and every familiar face has made this journey unforgettable. While saying goodbye to the store is bittersweet, we are profoundly thankful for the memories and the steadfast support of our neighbors.”
“The restaurant continues to operate at full strength, and we are incredibly excited to channel our focus into expanding and elevating the Crowsfoot dining experience.” Says Sarah McCabe, “driven by a surging demand for events, leadership is thrilled to reveal plans to transform the space into a premier private venue—a move set to significantly accelerate our restaurant’s growth.”
Details regarding the event space and what residents can expect next will be released in the coming weeks.
Until the final closing date on July 1st, community members are encouraged to stop by, grab come ice cream and enjoy the store one last time.
